JOB SUMMARY:

This hourly non-exempt position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electronics systems. The job includes varying amounts of parts removal and installation, wiring removal and installation, troubleshooting and general mechanical applications. Team leadership and direction of project flow will be a primary function. Job duties may vary each day and are designated by the Avionics Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions of this position will include, but not be limited to items such as;

• Removal and installation of panels, components and interiors.
• Label, bundle and install wiring and connectors.
• Removal of existing wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft.
• Evaluation of aircraft avionics systems and components.
• Work within a team process.
• Ground and flight test support as required.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by the Avionics Supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Avionics training preferred.

Experience

• 5 years prior experience on aircraft avionics installations required.
• Experience in supervision of other technicians preferred.

Initiative

• Must be self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
• Must be able to process work with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to lead and provide incentive to other team members.

Responsibility

• Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
• Must follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
• Must maintain customer oriented work habits.
