Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital is a state-operated, psychiatric facility located in Huntington, WV.
**This position qualifies for an appointment incentive of $11,500, to the selected applicant who agrees to work for a minimum period of twelve (12) months**
General Description
At the advanced level, provides nursing care for mentally ill patients admitted to an acute care hospital. Serves as a liaison with Physicians and reviews the work of licensed and non-licensed staff. Charts changes in mental or physical condition into patient records. Administers medications and alerts others of medical or psychiatric emergencies. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.Performs related duties as assigned.
This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Candidates must successfully pass a background screening.

Licensure/Certifications: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
