MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. B.S. Degree in Physics, health physics, engineering, or related field.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Performs IMRT / Patient specific QA.
2. Performs in-vivo dosimetry measurements.
3. Performs periodic QA on all treatment and imaging devices within the department.
4. Performs periodic QA on treatment planning and related computer systems and software.
5. Performs assays of radioactive seeds for LDR brachytherapy.
6. Writes reports for all assigned QA activities.
7. Participates in the implementation and deployment of new QA methods and devices.
8. Participates in clinical workflow development.
9. Assists the QMP with the preparation of patient devices such as bolus and immobilization.
10. Participates in Process Improvement initiatives.
11. Assists the QMP with new technology testing.
12. Assists the QMP with new clinical service commissioning.
13. Participates in TG-100 analysis.
14. Cuts custom shielding blocks and assists in the 3D design and printing of treatment devices under the guidance of the QMP.
15. Measure electron cutout factors.
16. Assists the QMP with documentation and logistics (scheduling, resources) tasks for special procedures.
17. Maintains the inventory list, calibration schedule and maintenance schedule of department QA equipment.
18. Audits QA records.
19. Coordinates radiation safety inspection schedules.
20. Prepares documents and records for state and NRC inspections and Apex accreditation site visits.
21. Other duties as assigned by the QMP.
