Job Duties and Skills:

• To assist and care for participants in the day program.
• Provide support to the participants in areas related to vocational skills.
• Provide supervision to participants while at the center as well as on community engagement locations.
• Utilize ethical methods of behavioral management including verbal and physical means.
• Assist with toileting and grooming skills where needed.
• Ensure adequate training and legible documentation at all times.
• Coordinate efforts on work related conflicts and problem solve when necessary.
• Assist participants with getting off and on vans.
• Maintain professional behaviors at all times.
• People oriented individuals who enjoy getting out into the community.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years working with the MR/DD population – preferred but not required.
• Be able to lift, stoop, and bend.
• Must be 25 years old to drive.
• Must maintain good driving record.
• Must maintain valid driver's license.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid.
• GED or higher.
• Background check.
