Westbrook Health Services is expanding and is in need of Certified Medical Assistants in our outpatient psychiatric clinic. This office operates Monday through Friday, no weekend work is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
• Record patients' medical history, and vital statistics.
• Collect and record Urine Drug Screens as needed
• Assist with completion of nursing tickets
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed
• Obtain Board of Pharmacy information and enter in EMR
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the medical provider
• Maintain connectivity for telehealth appointments and document telehealth note in EMR
• Administer injectable medications, when applicable.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and medical providers’ instructions to patients.
• Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior
