What you'll do:
The Banking Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bank's banking systems for a growing bank. The ideal candidate will be working in collaboration with different areas of IT and other departments of the bank on many initiatives. As the systems administrator, you will work with vendors as needed to handle escalations, system updates, and bank initiatives making sure that requests are followed up in a timely manner. Additionally, collaboration will occur with other systems administrators within Banking Operations. The ideal candidate has experience with FIS core systems software including IBS, Teller Insight, FCM, SRM, XAA, or a similar system for medium to large size banks.
What we are looking for:
  • Support banking applications and their dependencies. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, supporting solutions, installation, configuration, administration, designing, building, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining simple to complex applications.
  • Support solution delivery lifecycle including detailing requirements, and features, collaborating with IT developers, vendors, business teams, and implementation teams, supporting testing efforts, facilitating business testing, and supporting deployment efforts.
  • Participate in the Change Management process for the applications.
  • When needed, provide training to Banking System Administrators.
  • Review current documentation, including policies and procedures for the applications, and update as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider technology teams to coordinate interdependencies, and resolve issues, and understand overlaps of teams and applications.
  • Involved with support activities for existing solutions, including regular business interactions, and facilitating delivery of improvements and bug fixes as required.
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in IT, Branch Operations, and/or systems experience within the financial services industry for a medium to large-sized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in application support, professional services, and/or QA.
  • 3 years of experience writing functional and/or technical requirements for software implementations.
  • Experience translating business needs into system requirements and configurations.
  • Good communication skills with any type of audience, internal (all levels)/external (to include vendors - Sales/Technology).
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Good understanding of Problem Management processes.
  • Understanding of Incident Management processes, including Root Cause Analysis processes and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of FIS banking core systems including IBS, Teller Insight, SRM, FTM, and XAA.
  • Lean Processes Improvement background.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $84,216.00 - $104,032.00 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
