Western Builders of Amarillo, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager Near Amarillo, TX

Duties/Responsibilities:

Project Manager

Project Managers handle all day-to-day, high-level management associated on a project or projects. They are involved from the inception of a project through completion. They work together with the Superintendent to successfully complete their projects on time and on (or under) budget. They manage project engineers and all other ‘office staff’ assigned to the project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible, with Superintendent, for successful project completion within budget and according to the schedule while conforming with plans and specifications

• Team with project executive and superintendent to manage client relations

• collaborates to negotiate, develop, and manage overall project contract

• Manages project bidding and estimating

• Develops and manages project schedule

• Negotiates and writes subcontracts and purchase orders

• Teams with superintendent to manage subcontractor relations

• Manages change order processes

• Manages project budget processes

• Develops and manages WB ‘win loss’ projections monthly

• Represents WB in project meetings

• Collaborates with entire project team to insure a safe project

• Manages Project administrative duties

• Manages Project cost controls

• Manages submittal processes

• Manages project RFI processes

• Manages project plan modifications and revisions

• Manages monthly subcontractor and supplier billings

• Manages monthly project owner billing

• Manages the compilation of all final documents

Technical Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience in commercial construction projects

• Ability to read and understand construction documents of all trades including plans, specifications, contract documents and project schedules

• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office. BIM technology experience is a plus. working knowledge of Viewpoint software is also a huge plus

• Relational skills , self-starting personality are key

• Deadline and Detail oriented

Knowledge of construction methodologies and materials is a must

Experience and Knowledge of Building Codes

Education (preferred)

Bachelor of Science degree in: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management; Construction Technology; or other engineering related field

Project Experience

Project inception to Project closeout experience; field engineering experience; managing multiple multimillion dollar projects from start to finish

Objectives

Our objective is to bring on an experienced project manager who can get up to speed with our management methodologies quickly and be able to manage multimillion dollar projects from the start of the project through completion. They must be great collaborators/ communicators and team players working hand in hand with the project superintendent and staff. They would have intimate knowledge of construction methodologies and materials and have the ability to manage all stakeholders on multimillion dollar projects.

Special Instructions

We are looking for a family-oriented individual who is willing to live in Amarillo, Texas. He or she must be able to travel out of town several days a month or more as required by individual project demands.
