Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Desktop Technician to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting desktop infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations across our locations. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where travel is a key component of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems.
• Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain desktop security measures, including antivirus and endpoint protection.
• Manage and resolve escalated technical issues related to desktop systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain desktop performance, ensuring systems are operating efficiently.
• Support and train end-users on desktop applications and systems as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for desktop hardware repairs and replacements.
• Document and maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and software licenses.
• Implement and enforce desktop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Travel to various company locations as needed to provide onsite support and resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role, with at least 1 year experience.
• Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems.
• Experience with desktop hardware components and peripherals.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel to different company locations as required (estimated 25% travel).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent.
• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
