NOW HIRING: Property Management Accounting Clerk (Residential and Commercial Property Management)

(This is not an onsite position and does not come with a free unit)

Full-Time Job, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, 1 hour lunch break, works 4 days in office and 1 day remotely! Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $23.00.

SUMMARY: Performs a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Receives AR rent checks and tenant paid utilities and enters them into AppFolio.
  • Receives AP invoices and enters them into AppFolio.
  • Receives AP utilities and enters them into AppFolio.
  • Update all tenant insurance information from insurance bills.
  • Allocates and mails all physical checks processed by AP specialist.
  • Allocates and mails owner statements and checks monthly.
  • Uploads receipts for materials purchases into AppFolio.
  • Reconciles Home Depot account on a monthly basis.
  • Interacts with vendors and department managers when processing a resolution of account discrepancies.
  • Follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of accounts; serves as liaison between accounting and external parties, including clients and vendors.
  • Maintains accounting department files and records
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as needed.
  • Cross-train with other accounting and finance positions for coverage.
  • Ad Hoc & one-off accounting, finance and light administrative projects
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing
  • Assists with special accounting projects as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Two-year degree in accounting or business, or one-year related experience.
  • Accurately keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.
  • 10-key by touch.
  • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Proficient in AppFolio a Plus but not required.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
