The Driver Education Trainer's responsibilities include preparing, planning, and delivering lessons to teach students the rules, signs, and regulations of driving in accordance with state statutes.. The instruction will also facilitate hands-on driving with students, teaching practical skills related to safe driving, giving constructive feedback to students, and communicating which of their abilities require further development.Evening, weekend, and summer hours may be required.

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare and deliver lessons from provided curriculum. Teach a mix of in person classroom theory, monitor online student completion, and conduct behind the wheel training.Test students, to include a final written exam and driving test.Help students to develop confidence in their driving skills.Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations. Calm students who are in distress. Document and report on students' progress. Report all accidents to the driving school.Keep accurate student attendance and performance records that are turned into the college promptly upon student completion of the course.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
