Western New York Interiors Corp is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Rochester, NY

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans, determining costs, and preparing accurate estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members. **Salary is based on experience and performance.** **Opportunities for bonuses are based on consistent project results**

Responsibilities:

- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

- Collaborate with clients, & team members

- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions

- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers

- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive bids

- Utilize software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, & Microsoft Office programs to assist in estimating processes

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations

- Prepare detailed take-offs for accurate material ordering and managing

- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and other relevant documentation

Experience:

- Proven experience in commercial metal framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings is a requirement

- Proven experience in construction estimating is preferred

- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices is preferred

- Proficiency in using estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid is preferred

- Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team

- Familiarity with project management processes and procedures
