The Opportunity

The AGI Human Resources (HR) team is a key partner with the local leadership, providing critical support in creating a productive and positive culture. We’re searching for a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits. The Team

This position will work in close coordination with all the teams in the Naperville office, reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and advocate company-wide initiatives that support employee growth, performance, engagement, and development of employees by leadership.
  • Handle employee matters, facilitates difficult and challenging conversations to achieve conflict resolution and make recommendations for closure.
  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Work alongside the Talent Acquisition team to coordinate recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt roles, and interns; conduct new employee orientations; monitor career pathing program.
  • Undertake tasks around the Performance Management process, including annual and mid-year reviews.
  • Plan onboarding strategies and performs new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional early employee experience.
  • Conduct 30/60/90 reviews with all new hires to continue to support the early employee experience.
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.
  • Lead AGI’s immigration strategy and Global Mobility initiatives and partner with immigration attorney on all internal sponsorship needs.
  • Analyze and define areas of improvement for the organization to increase performance, reinforce corporate culture, and positively impact both HR and the business.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist and facilitate organizational training and development efforts.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements and conducting investigations.
  • Assist department in carrying out various human resources/safety programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Ensure all HRIS is updated to track new hires, termination and status changes in payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Support and oversees employee benefits and wellness programs.
  • Responsible for following the company’s safety policies, procedures, and compliance rules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
  • Strong skill sets and proven abilities with Microsoft Office; HRIS systems will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Stress management.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and skills.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and handle tasks responsibly.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience working with an ATS and HRIS and payroll systems.
