Title: Computer TechnicianQualifications: - High School diploma plus two (2) years related work experience required; college degree or advanced certification in field a plus. - Knowledge of multiple platforms such as Windows, OS/X, iOS, Chrome OS, and Android. Knowledge of basic support for computers, laptops, and mobile devices including phones and peripherals. - Some familiarity with Active Directory, data security, internet applications, and database applications - Knowledge of basic networking concepts.

• Ability to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision; a sense of urgency pertaining to customer service. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate technological language in a user-friendly manner. - Experience within a school environment preferred.Reports To: Town-wide Technology DirectorJob Goal: Deployment, support, and maintenance for information technology in the Schools to provide a platform for digital learning and administration functions. Duties and Responsibilities: Working with other IT staff in the building to support/operate: Inventory Management and Ticket Database- Assisting in management of physical inventory at assigned location and maintaining the asset database with the devices assigned to students and staff.

This would include, but not limited to, new inventory added each year; changes in status of current inventory; notes and documentation regarding existing inventory and repair history if applicable. - Work with staff in other departments to ensure that all computer equipment, however sourced or funded, is documented and added to the Helpdesk database. - Responds to related Help Desk tickets in a timely manner or forward tickets to appropriate person if necessary. - Works with users to understand, review and sign mobile device agreement for each mobile device assigned.
Computer Hardware and Software- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and related computer peripherals. - Installs approved applications and provides hardware and system compatibility support as needed. - Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems. - Performs imaging of new and existing computers.

• Set up and install interactive technology software. - Performs all preventative maintenance on school technology equipment on an annual basis or as needed. - Installs anti-virus software and monitors and resolves virus notifications. ?

Provides technical support for hardware and use of such hardware.Active Directory and Google- Change passwords in Active Directory and Google if necessary. - Develop a working knowledge of mobile device management systems and other deployment tools such as Google Administrator Console. - Enroll computers and assign users to organizational units if necessary.
