Job Description

To make sure that the bars are fully stocked before they open and see that the bartenders receive everything, they need throughout the day so that they can perform their duties properly.

Duties

• Put together and deliver food and liquor requisition to each bar.
• Rotate and label stock.
• Keep the beer cooler and liquor room clean.
• Assist bartenders with any special needs.
• Present and maintain buffet and drink stations professionally throughout the function.
• Perform duties during onsite/offsite banquet shifts, including decorating, setting up equipment, polishing silver, packing trucks, setting dinner tables, and setting up portable bars.
• Comply with the department's standard operating procedures, including service standards, cash/check handling, menu interpretation, safety, security, stocking, and requisitioning.
• Adhere to the approved/posted weekly department schedule.
• Follow time clock in/out procedures.
• Conform to Government and Company safety, security, and sanitation requirements.
• Attend mandatory training and informational meetings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to beverage controls per company and department policies.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints professionally and urgently.
• Maintain accurate department records.
• Properly use hand and serving trays.
• Serve alcohol responsibly per state/company guidelines.
• Follow department guest service etiquette and phone etiquette.
• Present menus to guests and respond to menu item inquiries professionally and accurately.
• Take guest orders following department guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises team members in the location.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training and coaching team members.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assisting in appraising performance and rewarding team members.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree GED.
• The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Follow instructions without close supervision.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
