Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Learning and Instructional Design to join our dynamic training leadership team. Reporting directly to the Operations and Training Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing the Training and Development department, ensuring the effectiveness of new hire training and ongoing agent development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and incorporate emerging industry trends, new technologies, and innovative concepts to keep training materials and development courses current and engaging.
  • Manage all courses related to new hires and continuous development for team members.
  • Develop and conduct Train the Trainer sessions to enhance the skills of our trainers.
  • Oversee and approve all e-Learning courses and new hire training programs.
  • Keep training curriculums and guides up to date and engaging.
  • Supervise the Training and QA Manager and Copywriter, ensuring all related projects meet company standards.
  • Track the progress of new hires and ongoing educational courses, and establish graduation criteria and requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with others, demonstrating high energy and creativity to promote a comprehensive training program.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver training programs for Rental Reservations, Owner Reservations, and VOA/Travel Club.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness and update courses as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in learning methods, curriculum development, adult education, and training course development.
  • Proven experience in implementing instructional design best practices, including experiential learning activities and evidence-based methodologies.
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate 360).
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Advanced knowledge in theories of motivation and techniques to improve learner engagement.
