Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team! This is a part-time position (3 days / week, 26 hours) Mon.

Wed., Fri (flexiblity with days). Part-time paid time off benefit.

Responsible for all areas relating to resident accounts. Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial records.

This position deals with Medicare and Medicaid billing policies and procedures. This position also addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities.

The assistant will have direct contact with the Accounting Manager, other Accounting personnel, and residents which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Must also maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with residents, guests, and staff.

Requirements :

• Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited program or will consider equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Outlook / PowerPoint)
