Job title: Kitchen Server (part-time)
Reports to: Chef Manager
OVERVIEW: Under supervision of the Chef Manager, the Server assists in the production of all foods required in the school breakfast and lunch program and cleaning off kitchen equipment and serving areas.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other related duties may be assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Serve-Safe Certification is required. Eligible candidate must pass fingerprint clearance through Department of Education.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, students, parents, guests and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere. Ability to read English and comprehend instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
TIME COMMITMENT: Qualified candidate must be available for all days school is in session. Scheduled shift will be 5.75 hours per day, Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be available and and with prior approval.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
