Westward360 is Hiring a Senior Vice President, Community Management Near Chicago, IL

Location: Chicagoland

Travel: Nationally, up to 1x per month; Internationally, annually

Terms: Full time with office presence 4 days per week

Salary: $135,000-$140,000 plus bonus

Overview:

We are seeking an executive who is motivated, creative and aggressively focused on improvement to lead our company’s community management division.

Accountable for guiding the successful execution of our company’s community management offerings, constantly optimizing, retooling and shaping our products and services to meet and exceed the needs of our clients and the markets we serve.

This role will focus on the following areas: Predictable revenue, product superiority and customer retention.

Predictable revenue: Achieving this through recurring contracts for management and other products and services we offer. Management of contractual specifics, ensuring balance for our staff, consistency for our clients and profitability for our company. The SVP should develop, in concert with Sales & Marketing, new programs and products to gain additional market share from new customers and the company’s current client base. The programs should be WIN/WIN/WIN for the clients and our organization.

Product superiority: The SVP will constantly look for opportunities to enhance and streamline our product offerings and the talent we employ to service our customers. Making our product the most accurate, the easiest to use and by providing the most value through our services will ensure we stand apart from our competition.

Customer retention: The SVP will work to create “stickiness” – products, services or benefits that are only available at Westward360. In addition, through communication, education and technology the SVP will work to promote the various ways in which we are productive and differentiated from our competition.

Responsibilities

  • Report to CEO
  • Provide ongoing insight to CEO
  • Implement company vision and culture
  • Oversee development and implementation of proactive, sustainable hiring strategy (VPs)
  • Review budgets and financial projections and adjust as needed, approve additional expenses as well as one-off project requests.
  • Oversee community management operations and ensure efficiency.
  • Task VPs with developing strategies and initiatives and directly supervise the Vice Presidents and General Managers of CAM and ensure intimate understanding of divisional initiatives and processes.
  • Ensure the VPs follow through on said initiatives with their divisions.
  • Act as final point of escalation for Vice Presidents and General Managers of CAM and notify of said escalations as necessary. Ensure escalation path is defined and being observed by the CAM division.
  • Attend weekly and ongoing meetings for the CAM division throughout the departments.
  • Identify areas of development for the CAM division and establish policies and procedures that better address those areas of development.
  • Collaborate with VP of CAM Accounting on process and quality assurance of community financials
  • Grow sales, revenue and market share through careful leadership and policy enforcement.
  • Attend board meetings as necessary.

Leadership

  • Assist CEO and CFO with establishing and managing the department budget
  • Promote and manage initiatives of the Board of Directors
  • Promote and encourage behavior that is customer-centric
  • Cross-train divisions on best practices from each division
  • Promote communication between departments
  • Assist CEO/CFO/EVP in developing new revenue streams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Leadership experience with a proven record of success
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Must have a entrepreneurial drive
  • Self-motivated individual who can also work effectively on a team as well as individually
  • Direct exposure to Community Association Institute is desirable
  • Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM), is a plus
  • High comfort level with technology platforms and software
  • Excellent listening, communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Alignment with Westward 360’s core values and mission
