WeVote has an opening for 2 volunteer Campus Recruitment Specialists, aimed at supporting the Talent Acquisition/Recruiting team and facilitating partnerships with schools & universities/colleges across the nation. This is a volunteer role, requiring 2-5 hours of time per week. You will have the opportunity to establish, foster, & maintain WeVote's relationships with the leadership offices or departmental programs of various schools & higher institutions.
Our ideal volunteer is passionate about politics and excited to use technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout. Therefore, an ideal volunteer Campus Recruitment Specialist is also passionate about politics and wants to use those skills to guide and connect potential partners to volunteer opportunities at WeVote.
What You'll Do:
- Build relationships with a network of schools, colleges/universities, their career services or student success/volunteer/leadership offices, or specific divisions.
- Accurately represent WeVote, answer questions, & share WeVote's mission/core values during initial conversations with institutions or students.
- Provide an overview of open volunteer and/or unpaid internship roles.
- Share recruitment materials with the appropriate department or point of contact.
- Serve as a point of contact for schools, departments, or students.
Who you are: Must haves.
- Current college student OR:
- You are an experienced Campus Recruitment professional with 1 years of experience OR
- You are a recent college graduate who has an interest in a career in Campus Recruitment
- You want to work with an established and successful team.
- You are committed to strengthening American Democracy.
- You are striving for personal excellence, and want to do meaningful work that will make a difference.
- 5-6 hours per week, with at least 1-2 hours available during business hours.
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Handshake & volunteering.
- You are currently located in the US.
- Prior experience working remotely.
