We are focused on your personal and career development, giving you opportunities to see all aspects of Weyerhaeuser's financial environment and gain the skills to advance to different roles throughout the company.

Your impact - You will help lead a department that records, verifies, and reports our financial results, while providing key analysis and recommendations to leaders. You have the drive to make a difference, provide value, and have great judgement. You act with urgency, and are accountable, courageous, and innovative. While understanding complex topics, you have the ability to keep it simple and articulate what really matters. You are smart, authentic, adaptable, and you listen. You have strong communication skills with the ability to interact with leadership at all levels. You bring energy to everything you do and like to win. Are you ready to join us?

In this role, your essential functions will be to:
  • Lead a team responsible for accounting for our Lumber business within our Wood Products Accounting team
  • Encourage, teach, and foster professional development, technical knowledge, and other growth opportunities for team members through one-on-one's, team meetings, and regular review of journal entries, reconciliations, and other workpapers
  • Be a leader for the accounting department, collaborating with other leaders to set the culture and direction of the department, evaluate progress towards strategic priorities, and participate in all aspects of people decisions (hiring, promotions, development, compensation, etc.)
  • Collaborate with partners in finance, operations and elsewhere both inside and outside of the company
  • Engage and inspire the team to innovate, experiment, and ultimately identify and implement improvements to achieve operational excellence
  • Support audit requirements for internal, external and compliance audits, including ensuring that we maintain an appropriate control environment
Qualifications

Our investment in you:
  • Relentless focus on your career development
  • Competitive compensation with annual bonuses via participation in our Annual Incentive Plan
  • Paid vacation, health benefits, 401(k) matching and retirement plan contributions
  • A flexible work policy that allows you to work remotely two days per week (Monday & Friday)
Compensation : This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $111,457 - $156,464 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Benefits : When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs.

Retirement : Employees may enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off : We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with three weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, as well as paid paternal leave for all full-time employees.

Experience : We are focused on your personal and career development, giving you opportunities to see all aspects of Weyerhaeuser's financial and operational environments and gain the skills necessary to advance to different roles throughout the company.
