Shift: Compressed Shift, Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, alternating Wednesdays, 5:45AM – 6:00PM
Pay rate: $25.00
Location: Boise, ID
The principal duties and responsibilities will be:
The Facilities Control Room Operator (CRO) will work in a team environment with other technicians to resolve routine equipment alarms for facilities equipment for the entire site. 
  • Monitor, receive, and interpret signals from the various alarm handlers and software applications within the control room
  • Responsible for monitoring equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, air scrubbers, make-up air units, and gas and chemical systems
  • In the event of a system failure, the CRO must be competent to assist in restoring the facility's equipment back to service as soon as possible.
  • Safety and quality: Complete all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies. Ensures area-specific procedures and documents exist and submits updates to content as needed
  • Communication and collaboration: Partners with key stakeholders to improve critical metrics, resolve equipment/process issues and maximize system stability and proactively communicate changes made to equipment and issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions or lost moves
  • Technical/Data Analysis: Support and monitor area processes and address/escalate issues. Monitor equipment, identify and resolve chronic equipment alarm issues
Requirements:
  • Intermediate PC skills including having worked with MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proven ability with organization, time management and able to multi-task in a high-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills, as well as able to collaborate in a team
  • Able to stay calm in emergency situations
  • Handle basic arithmetic calculations
Preferred:
  • Five years of control room or dispatch experience
  • AAS degree or equivalent
Physical Effort/Activities:
The Control Room Operator is a 12-hour shift at a desk monitoring alarms for HVAC, water services & purification, toxic gas systems, chemical distribution systems, pollution abatement equipment, boilers, electrical systems, pumps, generators, and any other supporting equipment that runs on the facility. A CRO will need to learn to call out alarms to many different trades, as well as operate the equipment from the control room.
