Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Intern to work in the Business Intelligence and Solutions Division in the Tampa, FL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for successful completion of field tasks as assigned by the Business Intelligence & Solutions Manager and Supervisor.Primary responsibilities:Collaborate with users to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for process automation and improvement using the Microsoft Power Platform suite.Design and develop robust, scalable, and user-friendly applications using Power Apps, creating custom connectors, and utilizing canvas and phone apps.Create efficient workflows and automate business processes using Power Automate (Flow), integrating with various data sources and services.Leverage Power BI to design insightful and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, enabling data-driven decision-making for management.Collaborate with the development team to integrate Power Platform solutions with existing applications and services.Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft Power Platform and propose innovative solutions that align with industry best practices.Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate clients and internal teams on Power Platform capabilities and usage.Technical skills:Computer scienceMicrosoft Power Platform development Qualifications:Degree or working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Power Platform certification or a related field.Proven experience as a Microsoft Power Platform Developer, with a track record of successful implementations.Proficiency in developing Power Apps, utilizing canvas apps, and applying advanced customization techniques.Strong expertise in Power Automate, creating complex workflows, and integrating with external systems and services.Experience in creating insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI.Familiarity with Power Virtual Agents or other chatbot development platforms is a plus.Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and One Drive is desirable.Solid understanding of data integration principles, APIs, and security considerations within the Power Platform environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
