VP, HR & Talent Management

Location: Addison, TX 75001

Work Schedule: Hybrid Role - onsite as needed, with at least 2 days in the office per week.

Direct Reports: Talent Acquisition (TA) Team: Manager, 2 Recruiters, 1-2 Onboarders; Talent Management (TM) Team: 3-4 members, contractors, and HRBPs

Overview:

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a VP, HR & Talent Management for our client. The position is heavily focused on Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. The role requires a strong strategic focus, particularly in managing and enhancing talent management and acquisition processes.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • HR Processes & Talent Management: Oversee the administration of HR processes, focusing on talent acquisition and development, as well as compensation programs.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Advise the executive team on compliance and employment law, introducing best practices to safeguard the organization.
  • Training & Development: Develop and implement effective training programs, integrating existing culture and values into internal people-related policies.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage all talent initiatives, from recruiting and onboarding to employee retention and offboarding.
  • KPI Measurement: Identify and measure organizational KPIs for HR programs across all business units.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance evaluation and feedback process, providing strategic guidance.
  • Legal & Vendor Management: Provide advice on legal issues related to employment and manage third-party People Ops vendors and partners.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or a related field preferred.
  • Superior understanding of US employment law and associated best practices.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a People Operations executive position or an HR executive role.

Skills/Specialized Knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience with various human resource information systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Additional Information:

This position includes direct oversight of the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management teams, with potential adjustments in team structure following the departure of the current VP and the establishment of the companies project. This role requires a proactive leader who can adapt to changes and drive strategic initiatives to align with the company's business goals.
