Our client in the fashion/apparel industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team and help us scale for the future, in a fast-paced environment that’s growing rapidly. Our Accounting team is responsible for all aspects of the monthly close processes, financial and management reporting processes, financial systems, audits and supporting the business.

The ideal candidate will be detail- oriented, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for contributing to the financial efficiency of a growing, women-led fashion brand.

Essential Job Functions:

• Drive finance transformation and implementing scalable accounting processes from an operational and technical perspective to streamline end-to-end close cycle
• Responsible for general ledger accounting, including cash, investments, prepaids, fixed assets and accruals
• Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and financial statement support
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal control procedures
• Assist in support of external audit, including preparation and coordination of audit requests and ongoing support
• Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• 6 years of progressive accounting experience in a hyper growth environment.
• Experience with inventory and sales is preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
• Experience with Shopify and software conversion is a plus.
• An aptitude for learning and managing ERP data structures and reporting capabilities (SAP experience preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• A high level of independence, accountability, teamwork and collaboration, and attention to detail in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
