Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Sr. Accounting Associate in Atlanta, GA to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings. 

The Sr. Accounting Associate will work directly with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure consistent application of established policies and procedures related to procurement, inventory and core management, vendor management, and to support the Company’s month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Performs reconciliation of general ledger accounts to system generated and manually maintained reports.
  • Performs end-to-end review of inventory transactions processed through Inventory management system for purchases, receipt of parts, delivery of parts to work orders and sales orders, and returns to warehouse and vendors for both exchange parts and cores.
  • Monitors Inventory management system and Tableau reports on the status of Purchase Orders, Receipt of goods, Return Authorization, Work Orders and Sale Invoices for accuracy of valuation of parts, cores, services, and complete and timely processing.
  • Generates weekly Inventory management system exports and prepare upload files to be imported to NetSuite.
  • Monitors the consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of the processing of purchase orders with parts and services on programs and warranties.
  • Performs adhoc analysis of parts and cores transactions processed through Inventory management system and NetSuite.
  • Prepare and record journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare inventory roll-forward analysis showing key drivers for the changes in parts and cores
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum two years corporate accounting experience required.
  • Minimum one year experience with inventory management is required, experience with inventory management software a plus
  • Some experience with NetSuite, preferred
  • Good attitude, willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing accounting team
  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Salary Range

The wage range for this position ($73,000 – $91,000 base salary) is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
