Job Summary:

The Media and Marketing Assistant as the organization's scheduling lead is a person who is invested in the organization's mission, able to build relationships internally and represent the brand visually across digital, print and presentation assets.

Use company’s project management tools to navigate projects and content across all our communication accounts and social media. The Media and Marketing Assistant will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

The Media and Marketing Assistant will be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. The Media and Marketing Assistant will be able to work collaboratively with our Content Lead to handle our social media and email marketing presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

Social Media and Marketing Assistant

  • Schedule copy and creative materials across all platforms
  • Collaborate with Content Lead to execute content pillars, communication and social media strategy that align with business goals.
  • Edit engaging content (e.g. original text, hashtags, and news).
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics for high performing creative assets.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure brand consistency and brand alignment.
  • Respond to work order queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews and engagement for creative shifts.
  • Regularly review email, text and social media accounts' communication design for quality assurance and creative execution (e.g. Email, Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout).
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Stay up to-date with alignment brand's advertising and marketing vision.
  • Participate in Creative and Marketing sessions and guide team in WLWD vision.
  • Scheduler graphics and videos for the calendar of posts to execute to maintain relevant, branded content across WLW Marketing: Email, Text and Social platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Set up and schedule visuals for conversion across social as well as in email broadcasts (training on Kartra CRM available)
  • Work with the Content Lead to customize launches and campaigns
  • Work with the Admin Team as needed to customize marketing systems, processes and campaigns
  • Work with the Coaches as needed to customize presentation decks and campaigns
  • Schedule assets for post and archive visual stories, reels, etc. for standard posts and from WLW Community or WLW Develops or WLW Dynamically in-person events, outreach, group training, and one-to-one sessions.
  • Analyze and track data to optimize practices consistent with a ROI.
  • Attend and Participate in Creative department updates during WLW All Team meetings.
  • Attend and Participate in WLWD Team Weekly: Creative Team
  • Attend and Participate in WLWD annual Program Graduation and 3 Day Team Retreat in NY State
  • Schedule assets that highlight testimonials/feedback from WLWD clients, Love Literacy readers and partners

Qualifications

  • Experience in Marketing or relevant field.
  • Two to five years’ experience in social media or marketing.
  • Proven work experience in a similar role
  • Hands on experience in content management
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Demonstrate ability to set up and schedule creative content (text, image and video) with a strong portfolio
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Familiarity with project management tools, email marketing, text marketing and content scheduling app
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and multitasking skills
