The Profile School District is accepting applications for an anticipated full-time/year round Facilities Director. This position is responsible for providing students and staff with a physical plant and environment that is safe, clean. Comfortable and supportive of a Quality Educational Program.Position Duties and Responsibilities Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position: 1.Assume responsibility for the comprehensive overall planning and scheduling of maintenance, repair and cleaning requirements of the building. Including a system to for dealing with emergency repair problems and efficiency.2.Assist the Principal in the evaluations of all assigned personnel, in writing, in accordance with District policy.3.Schedule work routines and coordinate vacation schedules for assigned staff.4.Assist the building principal in the preparation and administration of the custodial/maintenance budget which allows for custodial activities to be successfully carried out.5.Recommend and purchase necessary equipment and supplies.6.Maintain all boilers, equipment and facilities at optimum energy efficiency and recommends energy conservation measures and monitors their implementations.7.Determine and establish detailed specifications pertaining to supplies, materials, and equipment.8.Maintain and coordinated inventory control program for all areas of the department.9.Inspect all school buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles and installations on a regular basis to determine the high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained.10.Responsible for the preparation of playing fields, grounds, and other necessary facilities for athletics and other school activities.11.Serve on the Joint Loss Management Committee, promoting and coordinating functions and programs on behalf of the Joint Loss Management Committee in compliance with State Law.12.Reports immediately to the Building Principal, Business Manager, Superintendent, insurance carrier and appropriate officials, any damage to school property and follows up with necessary documentation.13.Reports immediately to the Building Principals and Superintendent any hazardous conditions and recommends a solution.14.Works closely with the Building Principal, Health Officer, Chief of Police and Fire Chief regarding regular building inspections, routine security and safety problems and special problems that may occur.15.Attends required yearly trainings.16.Assumes additional duties as requested by the Building Principal.17.Follows all federal, state, and SAU policies, laws, and procedures that pertain to the work place.
