Whitecap Search is Hiring a Senior Accountant - Commercial Bank Near Clinton, NJ

Rapidly growing Community/Commercial Bank located in New Jersey is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their already impressive team, reporting into the Managers, and a dotted line to the Controller and CFO.
Job Function
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for the Bank, Holding Company, and its Subsidiaries
  • Review month-end close activity prepared by Staff Accountants, including but not limited to:
    • Fixed Assets
    • Prepaids & Accruals
    • Investments
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management and board of director reports and quarterly FDIC Call Report Schedules and other regulatory filings
  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K
  • Prepare and review general ledger maintenance and core software integration
  • Review daily general ledger balancing and daily monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests from other departments, management and auditors
  • Train and coach staff accountants
Job Requirements
  • Financial services accounting experience, preferably banking, out of a reputable public accounting firm or in house experience in a financial services institution.
  • CPA highly preferred.
