Whitley Penn Creative Design Intern

This role requires a deadline-driven; self-starter who can serve professionals at all levels in a client-orientated environment maintaining the ability to handle multiple projects.

Graduation Date/School Years: December 2024, May 2025, December 2025; Junior/Senior

Major: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or other-related field

Opportunities within this Role:

* Creating and editing various graphic design materials such as brochures, banners, e-newsletters, presentation design, web design, publishing, and other social content that supports the firm's brand strategy.

* Learn departmental processes and brand standards. Understand how your assigned tasks are related to the overall department/project objectives.

* Provide design assistance for Firm hosted and sponsored meeting and events.

* Exposure to project ownership and management of deadlines in a professional setting.

* Team collaboration through different project types, weekly team calls, and project check-ins.

* Contribute to project brainstorm sessions to bring fresh ideas.

* Assist our Marketing team through design ideation to completion.

Qualifications:

* Exhibit a high proficiency in software applications including Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design), Microsoft Office suite and various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.

* Learn departmental processes. Understand how your assigned tasks are related to the overall department/project objectives.

* Able to identify and utilize relevant technology and tools to perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

* Coordinate execution of projects as assigned by the Sr. Designer or other team members.

* Ability to effectively manage detailed projects from start to finish under pressure and tight deadlines.

* Effective Communication Skills including verbal and written communication.

* Excellent attention to detail, organizational and collaboration skills.

* Asks concise, targeted questions to fulfill objectives and task completion.

* Strong desire to take ownership of the position along with the desire to grow and develop as a professional.

* Knowledge in photography and videography is a plus.

GPA: 3.0

Work Authorization: US work authorization is required
