Position Summary

Whitworth University is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Billing Support Assistant to join our team and work 30 hours per week. This position will play a crucial role in supporting our billing department and ensuring a smooth payment process for our students and their families. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing financial systems, communicating effectively with students and parents, and maintaining accurate records.

Duration: July 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024

Core Responsibilities

• Learn the new payment plan system - TRANSACT
• Support in tracking payment status for students in Colleague
• Work with students and parents on setting up and/or adjusting payment plans
• Call students who have had revised financial aid offers that impact their payment plan
• Call students who haven’t set up a plan for payment before and after the deadline
• Call – email – text students who are missing documents and whose financial aid is estimated
• Monitor July/August payment plans for insufficient funding- payment plan issues – call families
• Follow on students who need to complete authorizations

Qualifications | Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and procedures.
• Previous experience in a billing or financial support role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using financial management software and tools is an advantage.

Position Details
