Whole Cluster Hospitality is Hiring a Pastry Cook Near Los Angeles, CA
We are looking for individuals that:
- Are able to read and follow recipes, as well as follow directions and lists outlined by a chef
- Are punctual
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
- Have excellent knife skills
- Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation
- Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
- Prepare and execute key components of dishes
- Ensure quality and accuracy of products and dishes
- Supports their fellow teammates
Responsibilities include:
- Help develop pastry recipes, ensuring product, food preparations and food execution meet restaurant's style, specifications, and commitment to culinary excellence
- Responsible for a method of service, production, and cooking to ensure all items are prepared to meet deadlines and standards
- Manage aspects of the pastry operation and oversee pastry production
- Work in a high-intensity kitchen and work environment and be able to handle the rigors of busy services while not sacrificing quality and consistency
Requirements include:
- Developed knowledge of various culinary styles and mastery of all line level cooking stations
- Genuine passion for pastry, restaurant hospitality, and learning new skills
- An understanding of baking and pastry techniques, production and a basic understanding of how to use kitchen equipment
- Highly organized, productive, and able to work meticulously in a high-intensity kitchen / work environment
- Energetic and friendly personality, with strong willingness and ability to work as part of a cohesive team and to support colleagues regardless of role
- Physical requirements include but not limited to the ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 50lbs, and to stand, walk up and downstairs, and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time
