Job Details Job Location Hillside - Duluth, MN Position Type Part Time Salary Range $15.45 - $15.45 Hourly Job Shift Any Description Job Summary: Front End Clerks provide prompt, friendly and courteous service while assisting customers and fellow staff in supporting Front End operations. They are proficient at processing customer transactions while achieving daily operational goals related to sales and customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete customer transactions relating to sales, services, and/or WFC ownership quickly, accurately and in compliance with established practices.
Maintain cash handling accuracy within defined department tolerances and according to established systems.
Ensure cleanliness of department areas and equipment and communicate and document any equipment maintenance and/or safety concerns to department management.
Perform other tasks as assigned by department management.
Call for back-up as needed so that customers wait as little as possible to be checked out.
Bag customer purchases as needed and ask customers if they need assistance. For those needing assistance, carry out groceries or call for staff help if available.
Issue credits to customers for returned items following company policy.
Alert Manager on Duty to potential shoplifters, disorderly customers, or other emergencies.
Promote ownership and owner benefits consistently and positively.
Achieve WFC customer service standards for internal and external customers.
Contribute to an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment to support WFC's ENDS.
Essential Organization Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Abide by all WFC policies and procedures.
Engage in creating and maintaining a positive, ethical, and productive workplace that contributes to achieving progress on WFC's ENDS.
Follow and ensure compliance with all safety practices and policies.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory guidance including but not limited to Minnesota Department of Agriculture and National Organic Standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Achieve daily operational goals as directed by your supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of department areas and equipment and communicate and document any equipment maintenance and/or safety concerns to department management.
Report any problems with systems, tools and/or products to department supervisors.
Perform other tasks as assigned by department management.
Assist customers in finding product and/or information, promptly and courteously answer and accurately route phone calls, messages, and customer requests in compliance with established practices.
As directed, move into back stock, rotate, stage, stock and/or merchandise products in accordance with shift criteria.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in retail, grocery, natural foods and/or cooperative business
Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic computer literacy including familiarity with using a web browser and email
Ability to operate effectively within established systems and procedures
Outstanding customer service skills
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple demands, work under time pressures and meet department work objectives

Essential Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally move up to 50 lbs. throughout shift
Ability to frequently move objects up to 15 lbs. throughout shift
Ability to move around the premises
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to scan and bag groceries
Ability to operate position-required machinery
Ability to safely use sharp cutting instruments
