Job Description
Safety Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols within the workplace to ensure the well-being of all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate and report on all safety incidents, near misses, and compliance violations, and develop corrective action plans
- Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees to promote a culture of safety awareness
- Coordinate with management to address and resolve safety concerns
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in safety management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certification in safety management (e.g. CSP, ASP) is a plus
