Job Summary:The Assistant Controller is responsible for the development and analysis of accounting information to appraise profitability and performance.

Supervises accounting employees and activities for the general ledger including cash, prepaids, payroll, and inventory.

• Maintains accounting policies to guarantee the accurate presentation of financial results.
• Manages the Month End close process to ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Responsible for completeness of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Develops internal and external financial reports to provide management, the Board of Directors, the joint venture partners, and the regulatory bodies with a precise review of the firm's financial position.
• Annually develop departmental objectives and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Other duties as assigned and such other movement, strength, stamina, and flexibility may be required to perform the essential functions of the job.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study
• 5 or more years of relevant experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Previous involvement with preparing and reporting annual, quarterly, and monthly financial results
• Advance proficiency with MS Excel
