Shipping and Receiving Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Class CDL will be responsible for operating a company vehicle to deliver material between plants and customers. This is a local route, Monday-Friday with overtime available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Ability to safely operate a 26' straight truck for the transportation of material, finished goods and other equipment as needed

· Required to manually load and unload the delivery truck using a pallet jack or forklift

· Verify that all equipment is loaded safely for each building or customer

· Receive the deliveries, obtain signatures, and confirm the accuracy of the deliveries

· Deliver returned or picked up items back to the warehouse

· Inspect vehicle for any wear, report unsafe conditions to supervisor

· Ability to use scan guns to properly track material movement.

· Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITITES

· 3 years of Class B driving experience.

· Class CDL required.

· Delivery driver must be able to lift 50 lbs

· Delivery driver must be able to effectively communicate with customers/ supervisors / and employees.

· Delivery and warehouse experience preferred.

· Conditional offer upon Motor Vehicle Report

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Sedentary position

· Ability to travel by various public and private transport methods.

· 20/20 vision required with or without correction.

· Use of hands 100% of the workday.

· Ability to stand or walk 25% of the workday.

· Twisting, bending, leaning frequently during the workday.

· Office environment, occasional exposure to loud noises, dust, solvents, coolants, and oils.
