Wieland is hiring a Administrative Assistant . The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting documentation and communication with internal and external parties. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and maintain a sense of urgency while providing industry-leading customer service. This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site.
ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support Account Managers to execute price fixation agreements for customers and suppliers.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships (email, phone, virtual meetings) with customers, suppliers, and other teams within the Wieland network through effective communication and problem-solving. Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries on pricing, providing timely and accurate information.
- Manage and enter purchase orders, sales contracts, invoices, and data into SAP and other databases.
- Handle administrative responsibilities, including general accounting, AP/AR responsibilities, order processing, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Match purchase requisitions/orders with invoices and forward them to accounts payable for payment processing, as needed.
- Track the status and follow up on all invoice inquiries to ensure suppliers are paid timely.
- Support receiving and scheduling processes for mills/foundries.
- High school education is required; College education is preferred.
- Experience in pricing/hedging preferred, with a focus on ferrous/non-ferrous metals.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, professional communicator.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- 3 years of administrative experience necessary
- Detail oriented.
- Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong mathematical and analytical background
