Description

Human Resource Business Partner

Wiese USA, one of the nation’s largest Cat® Lift Truck dealers, is seeking a Human Resource BP for our corporate team headquartered in St. Louis. Wiese operates from over 40 locations across 25 states. Wiese USA has been a leader in the sales and service of material handling equipment and warehouse management solutions for over 75 years.

In this role, you will partner with business leadership to develop, implement, and assist on people management practices that align with the Culture and Values of Wiese USA. Please note, the Wiese HR Team takes a relational approach to Human Resources rather than being dependent on policy and administration. As such, the ideal candidate should have a servant’s heart, a genuine affinity with people, and the ability to navigate the intricacies of every situation.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to all levels of management (includes coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of Team Members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with outside counsel as needed.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective employee relations investigations.
  • Assist in administration for benefits plans including health plan and 401k plan transactions and other claims troubleshooting
  • Provides daily assistance to Team Members on matters of policy, benefits, payroll, coaching, etc.

Qualifications


  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources with heavy employee relations background
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Agile decision-making skills
  • A strong desire to mitigate risk, not eliminate or avoid it
  • Ability and desire to partner with the business rather than consult or police
