Manufacturing Supervisor

Your activities
  • Supervises production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Trains and coaches production line employees
  • Conducts employee performance reviews
  • Develops Performance Improvement Plans and conducts Employee Corrective Actions as necessary
  • Manages shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
  • Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing Manager for appropriate staffing levels
  • Performs duties within guidelines of company hiring process
  • Schedules and conducts shift meetings
  • Ensures that shift production goals are met
  • Makes adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Rejects product outside of specifications.
  • Manages Daily Improvements (MDI)
  • Operates within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and WIKA Instructions (WIs)
  • Communicates with other Shift Supervisors and Manufacturing Manager
  • Ensures a clean and safe work environment (5S)
  • Completes shift paper work (SQDC)
  • Assists in production as necessary
  • Performs ancillary duties as needed
Your profile
  • 5 – 7 years manufacturing supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience managing employees required
  • Knowledge of MS Office, must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • College degree preferred
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to analyze problems and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to use mathematical reasoning and problem solving techniques to solve work related problems.
  • Ability to locate information with workplace graphs, charts, tables, forms, flowcharts, diagrams, floor plans, maps and instrument gauges
  • Excellent interpersonal/ written communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
  • Able to work in noisy environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
