Wildhorse Resort Casino is Hiring a F&b Sports Bar Assist Bev Mgr Near Pendleton, OR

Wage Range: $55k-$68k

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment at all times for employees and guests.
  3. Supervision of staff to include hiring, firing, performance coaching and counseling, performance appraisals, employee orientation, scheduling, training, and staff development.
  4. Consult with the Beverage Manager on improvements and changes in the beverage service areas.
  5. Helps develop budget projections and annual work plans with the Beverage Manager.
  6. Enforces all beverage service regulations and health and safety issues for both employees and customers by WRC Alcohol Policy and OLCC Policies and Procedures.
  7. Assists the Beverage Manager in maintaining and updating training manuals, policies, and procedures for all beverage service areas.
  8. Communicate with customers and staff in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Assists in training staff and monitors their handling and preparation of drinks, ensuring consistency of recipe, product, and presentation.
  10. Helps implement and direct all procedures related to the ordering and purchasing of all products utilized by the beverage service facilities and staff. Maintains open communication with all support departments.
  11. Assists with creating weekly schedules within budgeted labor guidelines and balancing staffing needs with business needs. Functions as a hands-on working manager.
  12. Works with Food Buyers to order all products using established par lists.
  13. Assists in maintaining a well-organized alcohol storage facility. Ensures proper controls are in place to protect all property used in the service of alcohol.
  14. Assists the Beverage Manager with beverage inventory including monthly inventory reports.
  15. Assists the Beverage Manager in conducting staff meetings to share information, solicit feedback, demonstrate leadership of the team, and hold team members accountable for contributing to the team. Creates an environment that is positive and fun.
  16. Masters Eatec Requisitioning system.
  17. Participates in weekly Food and Beverage Management meetings.
  18. Complies with an employee handbook, applicable laws, department policy and procedures, and safety codes.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

  1. Sports Bar employees
  2. Lobby Bar employees
  3. Gaming Floor Beverage Service employees
  4. Bowling Alley Bar employees

SIGNATORY ABILITY:

  1. Personnel actions/forms.
  2. Prepare purchase requisitions.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

  1. F&B Controlled areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two (2) years of front-of-the-house supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry.
  2. One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume bar or lounge.
  3. High School Diploma or GED
  4. Trained and knowledgeable of various liquor recipes.
  5. Must have a good work history and be able to work flexible schedules.
  6. Strong interpersonal, guest service, leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
  7. Demonstrates computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS.
  8. Needs to Stand and/or walk for long periods; able to perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers; needs to bend, lift, and maneuver 50 lbs.; and has good visual and auditory acuity.
  9. Professional appearance and grooming.
  10. Must possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC server permit within 30 days of employment.
  11. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  12. Must be at least 21 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’s Degree in Hospitality/Business.
