**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Site Specialist to perform inspections of cranes and lifting equipment, verify rigging equipment, document inspection findings and enforce safety policies.
**Duties:**
- Conduct Crane/Site Inspections:
Verification of telehandlers and pickers. Spot check daily inspections of equipment. Perform thorough inspections of ground conditions and general jobsites. Review outrigger mats and pads to ensure they are sufficient for the type of crane and type of picks being performed.
Verify all rigging equipment, including slings, chains & attachments.
Document inspection findings and report any safety issues.
- Enforce Safety Policies and Procedures:
Safety policies related to crane operations, including load capacities, boom configurations and lift plans. Conduct pre-lift meetings to review safety procedures, discuss potential hazards and ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Provide Safety Training:
Conduct comprehensive safety training. Ensure all crane operators are properly certified and trained to operate specific types of cranes.
-Monitor On-Site Operations:
Oversee all on-site operations to ensure safety and efficiency in accordance with established safety protocols. Monitor and communicate weather conditions and other external factors.
-Incident/Accident Investigation and Prevention:
Respond to on-site incidents immediately and communicate relevant information to management. Investigate and conduct investigations on all accidents, near-misses, and incidents. Assist in development and implementation of corrective actions to address safety deficiencies and hazards.
**Requirements:**
-Bachelors degree in safety, risk management or an equivalent field is desired
- Proven (2-4) years of experience as a Site Safety Coordinator
- Health and Safety Certifications, includes but not limited to OSHA 10 or 30-hour Construction certification, CPR/First Aid, AED Certification
- Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA DOT rules, regulations
- Must have strong communication skills
-Must hold and maintain a clean driving record
