Willamette Tech Fleet is Hiring a Parts Specialist Near Springfield, OR

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Parts Specialist to join our team. As a Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our vehicle repair shop. This position requires attention to detail and organization as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Ascertain vehicle VIN, make, year, and type of parts needed.

 Verify accuracy of parts using vendors catalogs, electronic parts catalogs, diagrams,

etc.

 Inspect parts for damage or defect before installation or sale.

 Clarify the use and features of various parts when necessary.

 Fill technician or customer orders from stock inventory or submit special orders.

 Mark and store parts in an orderly fashion and according to procedure.

 Order and maintain basic parts, supplies, and equipment for shop.

 Stock replacement parts; verify invoice records against parts order and parts.

 Handle warranty parts replacements: return defective parts to the manufacturer

according to procedures, prepare associated documentation, and provide receipts to

technicians.

 Prepare parts counter sales tickets, keep all materials safe until needed, ensuring

appropriate departments are billed for materials.

 Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a Dealership or Retail sales environment preferred

- Proficiency in Shop management software systems and inventory management software a plus

- Strong sales skills with a focus on customer service

- Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Expected hours: 38 – 46 per week
