Willamette Valley Academy is immediately seeking a temporary part-time experienced teacher to join our school on Mondays through Thursdays from 1:00 to 3:00. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring students to learn and develop their intellectual and emotional capacities.

This position is for a PE teacher, grades K through 8

A part-time teacher in this role will provide instruction from approximately 1:00 to 3:00, Mondays through Thursdays. Additional hours are available if the teacher is willing and able to teach other high-demand electives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver in-school instruction in Physical Education, facilitating various activities.
• Establish and maintain a positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and external partners
• Maintain regular communications with staff, parents, and external partners using a digital platform.
• Occasionally meet with parents via in-person meetings and video conferencing.
• Observe and record students’ progress and provide parents with information about their children’s development and behavior
• Attend teacher training sessions and workshops when needed

Schedule

• Mondays through Thursdays: 1:00 to 3:00 with the option of accepting additional hours.

• Proven experience as a teacher
• Ability to teach in a creative manner and inspire students with their own passion for learning
• Willingness to adhere to all school’s policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as a mediator between students and their parents
