Position Summary

Responsible for scheduling and registering outpatients for Therapy Services, Cardiac Rehab and Dietitian Services. Job duties also include verifying insurance, creating estimates, entering daily charges, obtaining required physician signatures and orders, updating monthly recurring accounts, performing various clerical duties, data collection and miscellaneous duties as assigned for Therapy Services, Cardiac Rehab and Dietitian Services.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year therapy scheduling and / or clerical experience in the medical field preferred.
• Computer skills : proficient in Word and Excel
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to perform secretarial duties including completion of reports, letters and policy and procedure formulation.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with constantly changing work demands.
• Excellent customer service skills

Essential Job Functions

• Schedules outpatients for Therapy Services, Cardiac Rehab and occasionally Nutritional Services.
• Coordinates and prioritizes all information concerning the patients, physicians, insurance carriers and department staff.
• Performs general administrative and clerical duties.
• Registers patients.
• Communication skills promote positive work environment and patient outcomes.
