The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with senior analysts to execute business analysis processes. Compile pertinent supporting data and materials and assist with various financial analyses. Draft internal management reports. Create commingled vehicle sales reporting. Calculate sales force compensation, which includes tracking sales incentive plan metrics. Prepare data for benchmarking surveys.. Continue to expand financial knowledge and develop relationships with key stakeholders across William Blair.
Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To- Partner with senior analysts to execute business analysis processes, such as omnibus sales reporting, internal management reporting, etc. Ensure high quality, timely deliverables and adherence to established policies, procedures and regulations.
- Compile pertinent supporting data and materials and assist with various financial analyses, including budgets, forecasts, team and product P&L statements, expense tracking, revenue reconciliations, etc. Draft reports/presentations which highlight findings.
- Prepare and draft internal management reports to be reviewed by senior staff, including quarterly management reports, sales reports, commission reports, etc. Identify trends and opportunities. Identify and examine variances from quarter to quarter and year-to-year. Note of key results.
- Create commingle vehicle sales reporting in compliance with established standards.
- Calculate sales force compensation. Track and analyze key sales incentive plan metrics. Calculate plan payouts in alignment with plan design. Create reports documenting findings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Prepare data for benchmarking surveys.
- Continue to expand financial knowledge and expertise. Develop relationships with counterparts in the external marketplace. Stay abreast of industry and regulatory changes and trends.
- Recommend improvements to financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics
- 1-5 years financial services experience
- Strong work ethic and an ability to work well independently and in a team setting
- Solid understanding of investment management business, financial analysis and business operations
- Clear, effective communication and commits to understanding others
- Demonstrates initiative and persistence
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail orientation and commitment to meeting identified quality standards
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
