Seeking an experienced Lab Manager to direct sampling, preparation, analytical and marketing operations for the laboratory by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and/or supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the preparation and analytical operations in accordance with industry standards and methods.
• Directs and advises personnel in test procedures.
• Analyzes test information to determine capability of equipment and to diagnose malfunctions.
• Assists staff in solving work problems.
• Confers with technical staff to conduct analyses, interpret test results, or develop nonstandard tests.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Established or adjusts work procedures to meet testing schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment.
• Reviews production cost and product quality, and modifies production to maintain & enhance profitable operation of the lab.
• Recommends budget to divisional or corporate management.
• Assists with preparation of accounting records.
• Maintains time and testing records.
• Approves lab expenses/purchases.
• Reviews customer’s invoices.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree.

2. 3 or more years of Lab Management or Supervisory experience.
