Job Title: Pre-Sentence Investigation FLSA: Non-exempt

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service and organizational skills. Applicants must be a high school graduate or have earned a GED, pass a criminal history background check and drug test. Bachelors degree and the ability to speak Spanish fluently is preferred.

DUTIES:

Perform a wide range of duties to ensure Pre-Sentence investigation Reports are accurately provided to the Courts in a timely manner. Duties include, but are not limited to data entry, client interviews, assisting clients with probation related questions, preparing probation files, scanning of paperwork, completing criminal history checks, and Court appearances. Pre-Sentence Investigation staff members perform all other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry to 5 -10 pounds occasionally, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, reaching, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, balancing, squatting, and client contact when necessary to fulfil essential functions of the position. SALARY: Range from $41,400 to $44,750.00 based on qualifications and experience (to be paid out as a condition of ongoing employment bi-weekly per CSCD payroll operations) plus full benefits including vacation, sick leave, insurance, retirement.
