**Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team. This is a hybrid role where the Controller will also act as a purchasing agent to manage purchasing and vendor related activites. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition

- Generate and send paid invoices based on sales transactions through online channels and brick-and-mortar location

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements (cash flow/balance sheet)

- Manage vendor onboarding/compliance

- Own purchasing activities from said vendors

- Run weekly payroll and manage related activities

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

- Research technical accounting issues for compliance

- Support month-end and year-end close process

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Proven working experience as a Controller/Accountant/Buyer

- 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

- Advanced degree in Accounting

- CPA or CMA preferred

- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

- Experience with creating financial statements

- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

- Double entry bookkeeping

- GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Public accounting experience

- Financial acumen

- Accounts payable/receivable management

- Financial management and forecasting skills

- Payroll processing knowledge

- IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

- Proficiency in QuickBooks
