The Theater/Auditorium Manager is responsible to plan, organize and oversee all activities in both the middle and high school auditoriums and includes the oversight and preparation of any technical tasks relative to the preparation and production of events. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Manage the schedule for both the HS and MS Auditoriums · Maintain excellent and consistent written and verbal communications with staff, students, administration, and outside groups.· Prepare and maintain the calendar of events.· Enter permits in SchoolDude. · Work with outside groups to make sure they have proper insurance.· Work with outside groups on their needs such as lights, video, sound, etc.· Train students to run lights, sound and stage crew.· Manage student workers.· Maintain equipment used by any groups who are using either facility. · Serve as a consultant to all groups using the auditorium and assist with theatrical events when needed. · Direct and supervise theater assistants (high school students)· Provide good communication with individuals/groups who are using the auditorium, and answer questions as needed.· Act as a production supervisor for events when necessary. · Maintain list of groups who should not be considered for future rentals.· Assist with technical aspects of drama productions throughout the year.· Manage technical theater student’s involvement including proper safety training.· Other related duties as assigned.
