The Structured Literacy Tutor will support the delivery of target reading instruction to students in grades 3-8 using a Structured Literacy Approach — a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling do not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. Structured Literacy (OG, Wilson, C-SLDS)
Develop lesson plans in alignment with the structured literacy approach.
Analyze student performance data and report on student progress.
Skills
Deep interest in serving students who learn differently
Strong organization and communication (written and verbal) skills
Passion for serving culturally diverse populations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Openness to feedback and collaboration
Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
Hold C-SLDS certification

Job Description:
Work with District Special Education Reading Liaison to provide high-quality instruction to students identified through the IEp process as requiring this level of intervention.
Caseload service time 4 hours daily (students (Max 6), schools, and times TBD).
Keep detailed data and progress monitoring for IEP goals and objectives.
Conduct, analyze, and interpret student assessments
Support structured literacy tutors with direct questions about instruction
Maintain ongoing communication with students, parents, and faculty members, including providing quarterly progress reports
Perform other duties consistent with the position of a Professional Tutor
