Wing Inflatables is Hiring a Purchaser Near Arcata, CA
POSITION PURPOSE:The primary purpose of this position is to ensure continuity of supply of raw materials to meet customer and market demands for Wing Inflatables. Responsibilities include working with the Supply Chain Manager to maintain inventory levels, creating Purchase Orders through NetSuite, and maintaining records of all purchasing documents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Write and transmit purchase orders through NetSuite.
- Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
- Assist Accounts Payable with billing inquiries, and price changes, as well as other issues.
- Collaborates with the Engineering team and others to evaluate purchasing/vendor needs.
- Plan purchases via RME report, planning and WOWhereUsed tab within NetSuite, amongst other reports.
- Investigate discrepancies between the purchase order and receipt from vendor.
- Initiate return-to-vendor processes through NetSuite.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Manager to maintain inventory levels.
- Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
- Maintains purchasing details per item and vendor records in NetSuite.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to interact with various database computer programs; use excel and word documents with minimal training. Accurately enter data in MRP system timely.
- Proficiency working on computers.
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license within 3 months of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written/oral instructions, be accurate, and use math skills.
- Ability to interact with all types of people and provide a high level of customer service.
- Proven ability to communicate positively and clearly, listens and get clarification.
- Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply common sense, and deal with issues timely.

- Relevant work experience in purchasing and NetSuite.
- Knowledge of Wing product, raw materials, and quality procedures
- Verifiable experience with computers
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or combination of relevant work/school
- 6 months - 1 year of equivalent knowledge/experience along with diploma
- Effective and professional relationships with co-workers within immediate work group, outside the immediate department.
- Effective and productive communications skills; speaks well, communicates ideas clearly. Is approachable and open to discussion.
